Girl Scout Cookies and Tea

Today was my day off... I spent the whole day cleaning my closet :) After doing this much dreaded job I treated myself to tea and cookies. Have you tried the new cookie called Lemonades from your local Girl Scouts? They are perfect with tea - Lemon Iced Shortbread Slices. I enjoyed them with Earl Grey French Blue - yum - I love this tea! Jill and Scott brought it back from Paris, I save it for when I want to feel special!

Raclette Party

Jill, Jerry, and I had fun Friday evening using our Raclette Party Grill. We enjoyed shrimp, chicken, filet mignon, vegetables, and raclette cheese (it's a creamy swiss type cheese)!

TEA-rrific Drink

I discovered a fun new drink today. It is Sweet Tea infused vodka :)

FireFly Vodka is infused with the only tea grown in the United States (Charleston Tea Plantation). It really has a nice TEA flavor. We used the recipe on the bottle.

Southern Sweet Tea

1 half Sweet Tea Vodka

1 half spring water over ice

Garnish with a twist of lemon.

They do have a website with other recipes! I think it could be fun to serve at your next Tea Party!!

Mamma Mia!

Jill and I went to see the musical MAMMA MIA on Sunday. We had a great time, I think Jill was glad that I didn't start singing and dancing in the isle. We saw many ladies reliving their youth :) I love spending time with my daughter!!

Jerry's Favorite Soup

I made Ina Garten's Italian Wedding Soup tonight. I love Ina's recipes and this one was a winner! The meatballs cooked up great in the oven with no mess on the stove :) The recipe serves 6 to 8, so we have plenty of leftovers, which we both love. If you don't have Ina's new cookbook "back to basics" let me know and I will send you the recipe.
