Spring Salad with Strawberries and Creamy Orange-Avocado Dressing

This salad is so SPRING!  Guess where I got the recipe.........????  I recently got a iPhone!!! I have wanted one for 3 or 4 months but had to wait till my "plan" allowed me :) ...   OMG is was worth the wait.  I love it!!!  I am still learning something new every day.  This recipe comes from a App from Whole Foods (free app).  It is a simple and fresh tasting spring salad, using all the spring ingredients - strawberries, asparagus, and young salad greens!

Mix the green onions, avocado, orange juice, salt and pepper in blender.
Toss greens, strawberries, and asparagus together.
Transfer to plate and drizzle with the dressing.

Ingredients:
3 green onions, trimmed
1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
1/2 cup orange juice
1/8 teaspoons sea salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 ounces spring greens mix
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 pound asparagus, trimmed and sliced into strips with a vegetable peeler

Puree green onions, avocado, juice, salt and pepper in a blender or food processor until smooth to make a dressing.  In a large bowl, toss greens, strawberries and asparagus together.  Transfer to plates, drizzle with half the dressing and serve.  Extra dressing will keep one day refrigerated.

Great tasting salad, hope you will try it!  Let me know what your favorite App is!!
