Basil Flavored Salt


Just finished making this flavored salt!  My kitchen smells amazing!!  The recipe comes from the September Issue of Food Network Magazine.  It was so easy to make and is a great compliment to my home grown tomatoes!  I highly recommend making this to serve with tomatoes and mozzarella.

Directions:
Pulse 1/2 cup kosher salt and 1/2 cup packed basil leaves in a food processor; then spread on a baking sheet and bake at 225 until dry ~ 30 to 40 minutes, tossing halfway through.
Let cool and pulse again to make a fine powder.
