Yesterday we took a trip to Lexington, NC to visit Childress Vineyards! Wow, this place is beautiful!
I am standing next to one of the many vines, this one was covered with netting to keep the birds away.
We enjoyed Brunch with this beautiful view...music playing and you can enjoy a picnic on the lawn.
I enjoyed a "wine flight" of Chardonnay, Three, and Sauvignon Blanc. Loved them all :-)
My meal was Crab Cake Bene. Crab Cake and Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce served with Skillet Potatoes. It was a real treat.
Jerry had the Shrimp and Grits, you can't go wrong with this dish!!
We enjoyed our little get-a-way ... and look forward to another visit someday!

ReplyDeleteWOW! We have driven by so many times... Next time, we're stopping! A vendor we, (at Hanes) do business with offered to take all us admins there a couple of months ago - I was excited to go but ended up missing the outing because we were on our way to Charleston instead. Your crab cake meal looks amazing - I have it on my list now! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you like the little wineries around NC too. We are close to Georgia and they have several near us that we enjoy. I can't resist shrimp and grits when I see it on a menu.
