These Sloppy Joes would be perfect for Super Bowl Day! We had them last week when I made my homemade buns! I love the smoked paprika in this recipe, what a great taste it gives to the sloppy joes!
Brown 1 pound ground beef in a large skillet with olive oil.
Add 1 chopped onion
3 chopped garlic cloves
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Cook 1 minute.
Stir in 1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup water
Simmer until thick, about 15 minutes.
Sometimes the simple menus are the best :)
Oh, yummm! That was an old family favorite years ago. I need to try that again. Great Super Bowl food idea. Thanks.

My husband LOVES sloppy joes -- and this looks so much better than the 'canned' sauce he likes to use -- I may just have to surprise him -- thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteAnother recipe to add to my Super Bowl party list. At this rate I'm going to have enough to feed about a thousand people...LOL
